About Me

I am Jiahua Yue (pronounced like Chia-hua Yueh), an assistant professor in political science at Duke Kunshan University and a faculty affiliate with Center for the Study of Contemporary China (CSCC). Friends also call me Jay, or J for short.

I have broad interests in international political economy, interstate conflicts, and applied computational methods in social science. I teach crouses related to public opinion, modern Chinese politics, and statistical methods.

I set up this website to update my research progress and host related data periodically. You can also contact me via email for any related questions.

Currently, I am holding an online workshop series on public opinion and survey research, broadly defined, with the sponsorship of CSCC. We espeically welcome PhD students and junior faculties to submit their ongoing research proposals, involving Asia-Pacific countries. Our basic goal is to provide scholars with timely feedbacks and suggestions at the research designing and planning stage. Our speakers and discussants include scholars from City University of Hong Kong, Florida State University, Peking University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, National Taiwan University, and Washington University in St. Louis. You can contact me via email to order a slot for presentation.
